In Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, lightweight contender William Zepeda extended his unbeaten record by defeating Jaime Arboleda in the second round of a scheduled 12-round fight.
Zepeda was aggressive from the start, using his long jab to keep Arboleda at bay. When Arboleda tried to clinch and pivot away, Zepeda continued to attack with intensity, landing blows to the body and head.

Early in the second round Zepeda ramped things up, dropping Arboleda with a beautiful left uppercut the body, Arboleda managed to beat the count, but Zepeda wasn't finished.

Later in the second round, Zepeda picked up where he left off, landing a high volume of punches. Despite landing some decent punches, Arboleda struggled to defend himself and keep Zepeda off him. Zepeda continued to land devastating blows to Arboleda's body, forcing him to the canvas for a second, then third time before the referee waved off the fight.
Zepeda who is highly ranked by the WBC, WBA, and WBO improves to (28-0, 24 KOs), while Arboleda drops to (19-3, 14 KOs).
